The International School Hannover Region (ISHR) is a private school located in the center of the city, at Waterloo, near the AWD Arena where Hannover 96 football team plays. ISHR teaches students from all over the world from Pre-K/JrK/SrK (ages 3-5) to Grade 12. ISHR is a recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) school. Lessons are taught in English, and German is the compulsory second language. ISHR offers Spanish and French as third language options. ISHR offers all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) - PYP - Primary Years Programme, MYP Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). ==History== The School was founded in 1996. Now it is currently serving grade K through 12, and offers the IBO Diploma program to all grade 11 and 12 students. ISHR's numbers have steadily increased, and in the school year of 2012/2013 ISHR has over 550 students. In 2005 the auditorium was repainted and the I.T. lab was newly equipped. During the summer of 2006, construction work and renovations took place.
